Privacy policy

What we collect, and why.

Simple Terms respects your privacy and does not want your data.

Your personal information is collected, used, disclosed and protected when you use the website, when you deal with Simple Terms or when others provide information about you.  Personal information includes your name, contact details, business name, company number, job title, payment details and communications with us.

Above anything else, Simple Terms will comply with law.

We use your personal information to provide services and communicate with you.  Your personal information will be disclosed to staff, advisers, suppliers and subcontractors only when reasonably necessary to deliver services or to comply with law.  Simple Terms will not sell your data or use your information other than to provide you with the services.

If you follow a document, your member admin settings will keep a record of which documents you follow so we can email you about important changes. You can turn it off at any time in My Account.

Your personal information is stored in Australia and overseas (including the United States because this is a WordPress website and payment is via Stripe).

You have rights to access and correct your personal information, and to ask for erasure, restriction, data portability, and to object to certain processing.

If you have any questions or complaints about privacy, or want to exercise your rights, please contact hello@simple-terms.com

Cookies

We only use cookies the site needs to work and stay secure. We don’t use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or cookies that follow you to other websites.

When you join, the payment form is run by Stripe. It also loads hCaptcha, which Stripe uses to check for fraud. Stripe and hCaptcha may set their own cookies, which they control.

If you switch the library to grid view, your browser remembers that choice. This setting stays on your device and isn’t sent to us.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It doesn’t use cookies or collect personal information.

If you have questions about cookies, contact us at hello@simple-terms.com.
